Phil Meeks
Phil oversees the strategic direction of the fastest growing business unit of Cox Communications.
A 20-year MCI veteran, Meeks was tapped for his most recent role there by then CEO Michael Capellas to resurrect the company’s strategic alliance activities. As senior vice president of strategic ventures and alliances, Meeks grew MCI’s alliance revenue from zero to more than $200 million in two years. Meeks began his career in telecommunications at AT&T Information Systems and Southern Bell.
Meeks holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and journalism from the University of Georgia and has completed executive study programs at the MIT and University of Virginia.
