Marco de Ruiter
Marco de Ruiter started his career at MTV Networks in February 2002, as Vice President Finance & Operations for MTV Networks Benelux in the Netherlands. In January 2007 he took on further professional responsibilities, when as Chief Financial Officer MTV Networks North he was put in charge of the Scandinavian countries, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway. Since July 2008, as Chief Operating Officer within MTV Networks North, Marco de Ruiter has been responsible for the company’s business operations in the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, Norway and Finland, as well as for the areas of Technology and Distribution in the whole of the North region. In addition to this, he is also responsible for directing the MTV Networks Media Centers in Amsterdam and London, where the release of all video content for the whole of Europe is managed. Marco de Ruiter was born near Rotterdam in 1970 and studied Business Administration at the HES Rotterdam. His previous professional experience includes, among other things, managing his own internet company, and working in various different countries as the Finance Manager for several companies, including Shell and Ceteco.
