Lorenz Glatz
Lorenz joined Kabel Deutschland in October 2006 as CTO to drive KDG’s network and services upgrade and next generation product implementation. His particular focus is on creating advanced triple play services on top of KDG’s network infrastructure, to improve the efficiency of the RF infrastructure as well as to build out and scale the nationwide IP backbone and voice interconnect infrastructure in Germany. In November 2009 Lorenz was elected as chairman of cable europe labs by his peers in the European cable industry.
Prior to his role at KDG Lorenz worked as senior vice president of network and systems design & architecture for UPC, Liberty Global’s European subsidiary.
Lorenz was educated at the University of Vienna and the University of California, Santa Cruz and received an MSc. in Physics in 1995.
