Dr. Giles Wilson
As Ericsson’s Head of Technology, Giles Wilson oversees the vision, technology platform and solutions strategies that underpin the company’s position as the change agent in the new world of Television. Wilson’s vision for an integrated, multi-screen TV offering is enabling content owners and operators to deliver next generation consumer experiences that meet today’s desires for high quality, personalized entertainment, as well as enabling new business models and multi-platform revenue streams.
With over 15 years in the digital TV Market, working for companies and organizations such as NDS, NTL and TANDBERG Television, Wilson has played a pioneering role in creating the technology architectures and solutions for many of today’s leading TV experiences including HDTV, IPTV, multi-screen TV and content management.
Dr. Giles Wilson graduated from the Queen’s University of Belfast in 1994 with a PhD in robotics.
