Andrew Barron
Barron joined Virgin Media in March 2008, and has been both Managing Director of Strategy & Corporate Development and Chief Customer & Operations Officer. Before joining Virgin Media, Mr. Barron served as Chief Operating Officer of Modern Times Group, the international broadcasting group, for five years. Prior to that, Mr. Barron was Chief Executive Officer of chellomedia, the broadband and television division of United PanEurope Communications (now Liberty Global), from 1999 to 2002.
Mr Barron has also served as an Executive Vice President within Walt Disney Europe, and as a consultant with McKinsey & Co, primarily in telecoms. He currently serves on the Board of Virgin Unite, the charitable entity for all Virgin Companies. He has degrees from Stanford and Cambridge Universities and is married with four children.
